During my last year of secondary school, I entered into a class of live model painting with oil paint at the local art school. During 6 months, I spent every Saturday from 9am until about 4 pm painting at a proper easel, surrounded by other enthusiastic amateur artists. I learned to use oil paints, to mix colours and to draw/paint live models, nude or clothed. Finishing the paintings within this one day was usually rather difficult, and the models took some well-deserved rest in between holding poses. Nevertheless, I was able to create a few paintings I am still very proud of, and I’m very happy to share them with you. The gallery below displays 4 paintings of two live models. I experimented with colour schemes and the contrast of colours between the figure and the background.
