The dollmaker’s derision is a short story (almost 2000 words) about a doll’s journey to the old workshop of the man who made her long ago. During her journey, she talks about her past and her upbringing. When she arrives, she confronts her maker in a dramatic end to the story. ‘Just you’ is a short story about a demon princess and her mother, the queen of Mount Misery and all the lands around it. According to her mother, she is the favorite out of the four siblings and she is both thankful and eager to prove herself worthy as the heir to the throne. When she announces she will be leaving to train with the Predatory Platoon, her mother reveals she never had any intention of making her the next queen, and that her only purpose is to attend to her queen. This revelation brings about a great deal of sorrow and new insights for the daughter, who makes a life altering decision.

Just you is a fantastical tale containing themes of horror, mental health, existential dread and a touch of magic.
